Zoltan Perlmutter, painter and sculptor was born 1922 in the Romanian Transylvania into Jewish family of musicians, writers and painters. Studies: Academy Bucharest and in Paris. His first large exhibition was organized and opened by Vera Weizman, wife of the first Israeli president in Tel Aviv in 1943. He received the first prize at the Ben Uri Gallery of London that year. In 1950 he immigrated to Israel. Lived in Herzlia. Professor Zoltan Perlmutter was long an artist recognized world-wide, before it established itself in Duesseldorf. An unusual talent and an almost inexhaustible creativity were put to it into the cradle. Art was its life, life was its art. Jewish topics stood in the center of his pictures and sculptures.
