Garri Katz studied painting at the Odessa Institute ofFine Arts. He was a member of the Russian Union of Artists, and a painter andillustrator in the "Moldova Films Studios" in Kishinev in 1959-73. FirstPrize competition in Kishinev (1972). Three of Katz's paintings remain ondisplay at the Russian Museum permanent exhibition in Odessa. In 1973 Garri Katz immigrated to Israel, where hebecame a painter and illustrator at Car-Gal studios in Tel-Aviv. Heparticipated in a number of solo and group exhibitions. From 1977 he is a memberof the Israel Union of Artists and Sculptors. In 1983 he immigrated to USAand became a resident of Long Island, New York. From 1987 he is resident ofPalm Beach Gardens, Florida.
